Help us recognise the unsung heroes of grassroots football
We all know someone in grassroots football who goes above and beyond to make the game happen, yet they rarely get the recognition they deserve. Now’s your chance to shine a spotlight on them and share their story with the Sheffield and Hallamshire football community.
Whether it’s an inspirational volunteer who always goes the extra mile, a match official who has made a real impact on match day, or you’ve seen an outstanding act of respect or positivity, we want to hear about it.
Your shoutout can be a simple thank you, a well-earned compliment, or a moment of appreciation. Just complete our online form, and we’ll take care of the rest—sharing your message across our social media channels as part of our #SHCFAshoutout campaign.
You can choose from three categories when making a shoutout:
1. Thank a volunteer – Who deserves recognition for their time, dedication and commitment? From coaches and club officials to those raising funds, keeping the club running, or simply making matchdays special—these amazing individuals deserve a shoutout!
2. Recognise a ref – Has a match official impressed you on matchday with their professionalism and dedication? Help us champion those who make the game fair, positive, and enjoyable for everyone.
3. Celebrate positive behaviour – Have you witnessed an act of fair play, positivity, or respect that deserves to be highlighted? Share it with us, and we’ll share it with our grassroots football community.
We’ll be sharing shoutouts regularly on Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, and LinkedIn. Make sure you’re following us and have notifications turned on!
Simply complete our online form, telling us who you’re nominating and why.
Let’s celebrate the people who make grassroots football great—one #SHCFAshoutout at a time!
