It is with deep sadness that we have learned of the passing of former local referee and long standing member of the Rotherham Referees Association, Roy Maclean.

Roy was a highly regarded local referee and player known for his enthusiasm, passion and commitment for the beautiful game.

He was also a devoted Rotherham United supporter and worked at the club in later years with the Mature Millers.

The thoughts of everyone at the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA are with Roy's family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
