Just Play Funding Window Extended
We’re delighted to announce that our popular Just Play funding window has been extended until the end of the 2023/24 season.
The funding has helped kick start 25 new Just Play Centres across the county since it opened in January 2023, with 500 new players now taking part in small sided kickabouts, walking football sessions and other formats of the game.
The funding is available to individuals, clubs, organisations and community groups to set up a new Just Play centre in their area or to develop an existing session.

Chris and Jordan set up a male Just Play Centre at Worksop Town FC’s ground after successfully applying for Just Play funding last year. The session has been a huge success, with 15-20 players turning up every Monday night.
What support is available to get started?
Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA staff will provide you with bespoke support to help you get started. We can assist you with your application, kit and equipment, promotion and recruitment, and finding a venue.
How do I apply for funding?
The funding window is open from now until the end of the 2023/24 season. Grants of up to £250 are available which can used to purchase kit and equipment and/or cover pitch fees.
Just Play is for men and women aged 16+ of all abilities and can cover any format of the game.
