Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA Announces Sale of HQ to Boost Grassroots Football Investment
The Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA can announce the sale (subject to contract) of its headquarters on Meadowhall Road, Sheffield. This strategic move is designed to unlock funds for significant reinvestment into a football facility within the county.
This decision is central to the County FA’s commitment to enhancing and expanding the football infrastructure to better serve the needs of players, coaches, referees, and local communities.
The long-term vision is to develop a purpose-built Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA Football Centre and, where possible, support the growth of additional football hub sites across the region. These developments will provide state-of-the-art facilities for football development and participation at every level.
Proceeds from the HQ sale, combined with a portion of the Association’s existing reserves, will be reinvested into key sites countywide, bringing this ambitious vision closer to reality.
Brian Coddington, Chair of Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA, said: “The sale of our headquarters is a strategic step toward realising our long-term vision for football across the region. By reinvesting funds into facilities, we aim to enhance our current infrastructure to help support the continued growth and development of the game at all levels.
In the immediate term, the County FA plans to secure interim office accommodation while exploring long-term site options. Venues interested in assisting with temporary office space are encouraged to contact County FA CEO Simon Frost at simon.frost@sheffieldfa.com
