We’re inviting young people aged 14-22 to join the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA Youth Council and play a key role in shaping the development of grassroots football within our County.

The SHCFA Youth Council is a brand-new group to give young people a voice within football in South Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.

Members of the Youth Council will work alongside the County FA on a range of exciting initiatives and programmes, as well having the opportunity to develop skills and gain valuable experience across key areas of the game.

This is a voluntary role, with 12 positions available, and we welcome applications from players, coaches, match officials, volunteers and individuals who want to make a difference and share our vision to change lives through football.

What is involved?

As a member of the Youth Council, you will be required to attend and actively participate in all SHCFA Youth Council meetings (at least one meeting every three months) which will take place either online or face-to-face.

You’ll also have the opportunity to:

• Work as part of a team to engage with young people across Sheffield & Hallamshire football to ensure they have a representative voice.
• Support the County FA with the development of a Youth Engagement Strategy.
• Provide feedback to the County FA on programmes and initiatives which impact young people.
• Help deliver impactful campaigns and projects focused on young people.
• Support the County FA with the planning and delivery of key events such as the County Cup finals.
