Women’s Recreational Football Funding – Apply Now!
The rise of women’s recreational football in our region has been significant over the last few years, with more women than ever before now playing the beautiful game – and we want to create even more opportunities with the help of local clubs, organisations and individuals.
Inspired by the Lionesses and due to a surge in popularity, women who never got the chance to play football or played when they were younger and no longer play are breaking down barriers, shattering stereotypes and enjoying the camaraderie that comes with team sports by joining our women’s recreational football community known as #TeamRec.
This casual and relaxed format of the game is for everyone and anyone aged 16+. And with over 300 women’s rec players across our region – taking part in leagues, festivals and sessions throughout the year – now is the perfect time to become a maker of #TeamRec and be part of it.
Grants of up to £750 are available, and you’ll be supported every step of the way to get your session up and running by our Women’s Recreational Football Officer Sara Harnett.
