Introduction to Grassroots Volunteering Workshop
Volunteers are the backbone of grassroots football. Without the thousands of people who give up their time every week across our region, grassroots football simply wouldn’t exist.
For new volunteers just starting out at their local grassroots club, it can feel like a daunting task getting to grips with the many different roles and responsibilities a club volunteer might undertake.
But don’t worry, we’re here to support you with everything you need to know to get started on your volunteering journey.
We’re hosting an introduction to grassroots volunteering workshop for new volunteers as well as existing volunteers who might want to refresh their knowledge and understanding around key areas of the game.
The workshop aims to boost your confidence and knowledge of the game, as well as supporting you with your day-to-day responsibilities. It’s also a great opportunity to meet and network with other volunteers.
What will be covered?
The workshop will cover the following topics
- Who’s Who? The football eco system
- FA online systems and how to maximise them
- Club roles, processes and best practices
- Q&A session
Who should attend?
- New club officials such as secretaries, chairpersons, treasurers, club welfare officers, etc.
- Existing club officials wanting to refresh their knowledge
- Anybody that’s thinking about getting into volunteering
