North Midlands Development League Hit the Mark
We are proud to announce that The North Midlands Development Football League has achieve FA League Accreditation Status
FA League Accreditation is awarded to leagues that set out to be the best places for teams and players to play the beautiful game, outlining their ambitions and future visions in a delivery plan working alongside the County FA, as well as demonstrating correct organisation, structures and team/ player pathways.
The league has been working with the County FA since the beginning of the year to achieve the accreditation for the league that offers midweek development age football across the North Midlands.
The league's Charter Standard Coordinator Jonathan Wilson stated:
“The NMDFL are delighted to have achieved the accreditation, since the league was established back in 2006 it has always been acknowledged by its associated FA's to be of an high standard and high quality and getting the accreditation cements the work the league has and continues to do, it is a huge pat on the back too to the hard working committee, Our Chairman, President and Vice President have been present since the league was Formed so delighted for them also.”
“Becoming accredited will help the league progress in all areas, it will help identify where we may need to strengthen and also highlight what we do well, it will also help to promote the league to potential new clubs and all of our existing member clubs can be very proud of the league that they play in.”
“The County FA made the application process as easy as possible and was good to sit down and discuss what the league is about and where we want to take things moving forward and I would urge all leagues out there that haven't yet to become accredited.”
“The league has always set out to deliver Football to a high standard to an age group that is the future of all our member clubs, we remain a very important part of local Football and although Grassroots Football faces many challenges we feel we are in a great position to progress and the accreditation of becoming charter standard helps enormously with that, thanks again for all your support and look forward to working closely with Leon (Adult Football Development Officer) and the County FA in future.”
Nathan Batchelor, National Grassroots Leagues Services Manager, explained:
"It is testament to the commitment and progressive attitude of this league and its member clubs that the league is able to attain Accredited League status. The league should be applauded for embracing this process and demonstrating that they are constantly striving to improve, for players, coaches, referees and clubs.”
We wish to thank and congratulate the league on this achievement, hard work and look forward to continuing to work with them to achieve the goals they have set out!
