The FA 50-Year Service Award
The FA awards an Order of Merit in recognition of the dedication and commitment undertaken by volunteers at grassroots level.
To be eligible for this award, the nominated individual must have completed 50 years as a football volunteer within an administrative or server role of the game (playing record not taken into consideration).
To nominate a member of your club, league, organisation or referees’ society all you need to do is follow the steps below:
Step 1: Complete the nomination form at the foot of this page
Step 2: Send off the nomination form by clicking the submit button
Step 3: Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA will review and respond with any questions
Step 4: Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA will send the application to The FA for consideration
Step 5: If successful, The FA will issue a letter of recognition from The FA’s CEO, a long service pin badge and an individually engraved medal to Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA (this can take up to 10 weeks)
Step 6: Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA will arrange, with the nominator, a time, date and venue for the award to be presented to the recipient
